Officer Profiles
Chief David Vallely is a retired Springfield, Missouri police officer and trainer. He was sworn in as chief on Tuesday June 21, 2005. David grew up in Springfield and has worked in Mt. Grove, Ava, and El Dorado Springs prior to his law enforcement career. He is a graduate of Drury University and the Springfield Police Academy. David is married to Christine and they have three grown children. He enjoys woodworking and reading non fiction books.

Marilyn Horn is the Administrative Assistant for the Battlefield Police Department. She is a native of Springfield, Missouri. She has held numerous administrative positions both in Missouri and Ohio in the medical equipment field. In her spare time, she enjoys needlework, decorating and spending time with her husband and two adult sons.

Sgt. Steve Carpenter graduated the Drury University Police Academy in 1998. In 1999 he started his law enforcement career in Battlefield as a reserve officer for six months. He then became a reserve deputy with the Greene County Sheriff's department for almost three years. While working as a reserve officer Sgt. Carpenter was the Loss Prevention Supervisor for Bass Pro Shops for five years. He then became a full time Police Officer for the City of Battlefield in October, 2004. Sgt. Carpenter is married with three daughters.

Angela Williams She moved to Springfield in 2000, but she is originally from St. Charles, IL. She received her Associates Degree for both Criminology and Psychology in December of 2005 and graduated from the Drury law enforcement academy in May 2006. She is currently working on achieving her Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Psychology. She has been a Commissioned Officer through Greene County for the past eight months working at Cox Health Security.

Phil Dixon graduated Branson high school in Branson, Missouri .Phil is a life long resident of Branson. Phil graduated from Drury law enforcement Academy in Springfield in 1996. He worked for two sheriff's departments before coming to Battlefield. He is married and has two grown children. Phil loves to turkey hunt and fish.
