Sewer Department
The City of Battlefield does not operate a sewage treatment facility. We maintain lift stations which collect and then pump wastewater to the Springfield Wastewater Treatment Facility under a fee-based contractual agreement. Currently, your sewer billing is based on a minimum of $12.06 per month, plus fees based on either an actual usage of water or an average usage from the months of December, January and February. Applications for sewer service require a security deposit and completion of the associated forms which can be printed and completed before you arrive at City Hall. Delinquent accounts are subject to termination of your water service and a reconnection fee of $30 cash along with payment of your past due amounts.
